Sorry for the repost. I put this question in the 87-96 forum befor remembering there was a engine swap section.

If someone has done this or a similar swap please let me know the potential difficulties/problems with the swap. Both trucks are manual trans. Both trucks are complete and run.

Will it be as easy as pulling engine and wire harness unplug and replug in with correct ecm? 88 is 5.8 is extended cab. 91 is 4.9 is standard cab. I have never swapped efi engines only carb so the wire harness and connections are new to me.
