Good morning all. Today is going to be a great day out there. Maybe 50 degrees. I need the snow on the roof to melt. This morning the driveway was nothing but ICE. A little snow melt and let the sun do the rest.

Spent the night in a dump truck relocating snow from Wooster St. New Haven.

It was killing me inside staring at a closed Sally's at 330 this morning while I was hungry.

Wooster street Little Italy. Some great food. That's got be back braking work. That's a narrow street to be working on snow removal.

Parking ban on one side of the street at a time makes it doable. Had a steady stream of tow trucks clearing the way for the first half of the night.

New Haven PD kept people who didn't need to be there out. Still tight but doable.

Apparently the whole operation was on the news last night on NBC after the olympics.

Dano: The difference is I was in a triaxle with a 13spd in New Haven. My left leg is a bit sore.

You should learn to float the gears, makes it much easier on the clutch knee!

Today work takes me down to a prison in Niantic again. Was down here last week but forgot a form, so I make the drive again.

Clutches are for stopping and starting. Turns out you do approximately a *****load of that when driving in down town New Haven though.

The sad thing is that I actually miss driving my old tri axle. I'm happy the plow truck is an automatic, but I do miss shifting from time to time

Some times I wish that I had ordered my truck with a 6 speed.

Meh. I'd happy trade my truck for a Fusion Hybrid. I really have no affinity for driving a pickup truck over any other kind of car. But of course a Fusion won't tow my trailer, so I have the truck for that.

I used to think the same. But two and a half years as an OTR truck driver with 10- and 13-speed transmission cured me of that. I don't miss rowing my own gears one little bit. In fact I regretted getting the standard transmission in my '11 Mustang.

Not me, if im going to spend the money to have a vehicle, its going to be something i enjoy. I get no enjoyment out of driving this subaru, or the explorer. Its just boring. I dont care if i dont tow anything, i like my truck and dont plan to ever own just a car.

In other news, my mechanic was supposed to call me this week, and well tomorrows friday so my hopes arent high. If no call, then ill be driving up there next week and picking it up to either fix it myself or find someone else
