Two big purchases for us...finally got a boat to waste money on and I traded in the SD for a ‘16 F150 Limited. The boat is a ‘95 Four Winns 19’ Horizon with the 5.0 Cobra OMC. The truck swap was done because we aren’t going any bigger than our current trailer, so the SD was unnecessary. The parks out west have length limits on trailers so going with my dream of a huge 5er is long gone. The F-150 with the 3.5EB is enough to pull our camper around and I stumbled upon this Limited and they were able to meet my payment demands. I’m very interested in seeing how it handles our 7700# camper.
That's a pretty impressive chunk of change from the garage sale Torr!!
Sorry to see the SD go Jimmy, but the new truck looks pretty. Few people I know are getting into the newer 150s and they seem to like them whether it's the EB or the 5.0.
Got the rear axle under the bronco and yes it's off but I couldn't move it more because od the body mount and I bought another truck.

I've had the 150 for a week and I don't miss the SD at all. After speaking with many RV'ers with the 3.5EB F-150 and seeing what they were pulling, it should be fine for my camper. The EB is actually rated with a higher towing capacity than the 5.0, the however 5.0 has a slightly high payload, 50lbs. I'd have been perfectly fine with the 5.0, I liked the V8 rumble for sure, but EB has more tuning potential. We all know that we can't leave anything stock. The boss already asked when it's being lifted, so I guess I'll lift it to make her happy. Crazy women...
If they used a Johnson/brp cable and installed it correctly quite awhile. Just watch for drag/resistance when shifting. It's not a bad drive, just got a bad rap for crap oe cables and miss-installation back in the day causing them to eat clutch dogs. The shift interrupter can be a pain in the *** too, cdi makes a timer based replacement for when the oe one craps out.
I ended up not making the deal on the yellow bike. I'm fine with that as my ride around the neighborhood was a lot of fun. It just stinks that insurance is $300/yr despite not riding very much. Stupid Michigan and their $170 per bike MCCA fee.

Even the sierra cable is ok, but its not as smooth as the johnson cable. It's not a cheap cable but i returned the sierra and bought the oem when i did mine. As long as the shifter and upper cable are in good shape it should shift in and out of gear very easy.
