I like mine....I traded in my 99 F250 Supercab w/7.3L for it. It is a very nice riding truck. I've got the 5.4L XLT package. I was so impressed with it's turn radius after I got out of the F250. I have pulled several trailers with the 5.4L and it has plenty of get up and go and pull for most things any one will need it for. It is plenty roomy in the front and the back seat. I love the room and accessibility of the truck. if you have any specific questions, I will try to answer them as best I can.

not sure how you intend to use the screw. 3 guys i work with have 02/03 screws. 2 are 5.4's and one has the 4.6. two are cloth xlt and one has lariat. anyway, all 3 guys love their trucks. the guy with 4.6 wishes he had bought the 5.4. otherwise no complaints whatsoever. If you will haul or pull much, get the 5.4l. and consider the 373 gears if you will pull much or in hilly terrain. or if you just generally have a heavy foot, get the 5.4l.

I have the '03 supercrew and with three kids and all the scouting and camping I do with in just he 3 months that I have had this truck I love it. Loads of room inside and with a bed extender and a front and rear 2" reciever and a add-on bike rack and basket I look like the beverly hillbillies but this truck performs. I have the 5.4 and not knowing much about engines I have to say this thing gets up and goes when I ask it to.

Looking into Buying a F150 SuperCrew

I have 1 kid and 1 on the way, thus the reason for the supercrew.

I went out to Lawrence Marshall in Hempstead yesterday and here is what I liked.
BTW, I live in Houston TX

Green super crew 03 XLT
5.4
towing package
cloth seats
bucket seats in the front
all power door locks and windows
chrome step in bars (not sure the proper lingo for these)

Sticker was 31,580 and I think that I may be able to drive it out for 25,000

Is this a good deal? I was hoping to get it for around 20,000, but I am new to the new truck buying process.

Thanks

Mark

Looking into Buying a F150 SuperCrew

Mark,
I work with dealers all the time....my full time job is an Indirect Loan officer...so basically I sit around all day by a fax and phone and do deals thru the dealership....much like GMAC and FMCC. I'd say $6,580 off the sticker is a very good deal. I would be willing to be that dealer invoice would be around $28000 or $27,500. Is this price of $25,000 with any trade or cash down and is that with TTL included? Be careful because many of them will tell you that's the price then tack on TTL and Doc fees and credit life/disability, GAP, warranty etc and before you know it you'll be at $33,000. Don't let them sell you a payment, but a final #. Most all of those products are great depending on your situation, but most all of them can be bought through a local credit union or bank at a MUCH cheaper price. Good luck and hope you enjoy your new ride!

Looking into Buying a F150 SuperCrew

mconway, i am in sugar land. check last saturday's prices for champion ford. they had new 03 xlt supercrews (quantiy six of them so possibly now sold) for a hair less than $21k. (advertised trucks had a 4.6 though, not the 5.4). also, most likely no buckets, no nerf bars (the chrome step in bars) and no tow package. But still a very nice 4 dr automatic xlt crew cab. Just mention in case you want to shop the lower priced examples. the champion dealer at I10 and mason road has a big selection. i was there last weekend nosing around. i agree with fisher of men. Was the $25,000 true drive out including TT and L or was it msrp less rebate less dealer discount less down payment, less trade in or ?. i bought my current 97 f150 at hempstead but looking back i dont think i got a great deal there. I'd say the minimum discount on an expensive truck like you saw at hempstead is $7K ($3k rebate and $4k discount). Chevy dealers around town (wiesner's in richmond for instance) are offering $8,500 off ls/lt chevy supercabs. I'd much rather have a ford but just mentioning the chevy price as a point of reference.
