I've had one for several years. It works as advertised for me. Once it's all setup the first time, I can strap it to the tailgate when needed in about one minute.
Mine was rated at 2000 lbs when I bought it. That's pretty close to the upper limit of where it works. With gravel/rock/sand in the bed, it will crank at 2000 lbs. Anything more, and there's too much friction between the drag sheet and the bed liner resulting in the mounting brackets bending and potentially breaking.
So when I go to the landscape supply place, I'll often get 3000 lbs. To unload, I have to do a little shoveling to get the weight down a bit and then can just crank out the remaining ton.
When not in use, I store the assembly upright in the garage and it takes up as much space as a broom.

Thanks for the review. My problem is I have a bedrug for a liner. A, I don't want it to get messy (stuff along the sides). B, not sure if it would drag well across that surface. Love a short bed dump insert but not ready to spend the $2500+ for a new one as used short bed inserts are hard to find.
