HELP

We have a 1991 F250 460 that we have no clue waht is going on with it. We have replaced the EGR valve, water temp sensor, put a used fuel pump in. It started out as running rough for the first 15 mins then ran fine. We made the mistake of having to pull our f350 with it when it sprung a fuel leak. Didn't get very far before the 1991 couldn't give us anymore. The 91 would feel like it would get enough gas when we would let of the gas to shift then go back to barely running. Now after replacing those parts it won't stay started when you give it gas. Any advice?

So it was running rough and then you replaced the parts or you replaced the parts and now it's running rough?

Will it start and die or just not even start?

I would check the fuel rail to see if they're getting enough pressure. Used fuel pump might not be good or it could've clogged the fuel filter.

Hopefully someone else with more experience with the older engines can chime in

These were common to stop up catalytic converter. usually they would idle(until engine got hot) and would die out when trying to run down road or pull load.we would quick check them by pulling out oxygen sensor and truck would usually run because it would exhaust enough out of sensor hole to breathe. this is just a guess but we would get them towed in to dealership all the time in late 90s with converters blocked on 460 trucks .as already posted need to check fuel pressure.
