Update: Slowly but surely doing some stuff to her so here we go:

Just installed an AFE pro dry s stage 2 cold air intake, got it brand new for$100 from a buddy, was sitting in his garage for a couple months because he sold his obs, you cant beat that deal!

A few minutes ago i just finished up installing some KC Highliter off road lights, they are 130 watt, 200,000 candle watt power!!! Mounted them behind the grill, they are EXTREMLY bright!!
A little before after

Also i will be installing tomorrow, i basically stole it from walmart, Pioneer head unit and 4 50watt speaker combo package for $85!!!!! Basically bought the head unit and got the speakers free, that will really make the ol girl sound like a mercedes inside!!

The next items planned are:

4in straight pipe
tuner
removal of visor
front leaf spring conversion

If so, DONT try to put leafs on it... I'm not going to go into my rant about how ridiculous it sounds that anyone would want to do leafs on a twin I beam front end or even swap to the F-SD solid front.... JUST DONT....

I was kind of wondering about that myself.

My buddy just got done converting his obs, and it is really nice, he did it all for around 1k. I would love to have a 4wd but you cannot find a 4wd 7.3 with under 230,000 miles around here and if you do they are not coming off10k.

So he took the coil springs out of a 2WD truck and put leaves back in and left it a 2WD? Or are you saying he put a 4x4 front axle under it and converted to 4x4? I can't think of ANY reason why you would want to convert from coil springs to leaves unless you're going 4x4. There are guys spending major time and money to be able to convert the 4x4's TO coil springs (05+ 4x4 conversion) because they make it ride so much nicer.

If your buddy put leaf springs in his 2wd front end, he has issues..... if he swapped to 4x4, theres more to that than just swapping in some leaf springs....

My buddy converted the whole thing to 4wd, dana 60 etc whole 9 yards, i want to do the same thing but in steps, maybe do the dana 60 and leafs first, and then down the road finish up with the transfercase, tranny and other little things.

OK.. 4wd swap, not just a leaf spring swap. Got it. Lol. It'll be fun getting front shackles on your 2wd frame. Doable, just not near as easy as the TTB trucks. Easier at this point to do the 05+ stuff with coil springs, but thats quite a bit more expensive. Lol

^^ Agreed. If you decide to do this, let me know. I happen to have a couple of 4x4 frame horns laying around that I'm sure we could make a deal for if you decide to try and graft them in.

That's going to be the easiest way to get it done right there.

I don't see the point in lifting a 2WD truck. All it will do is throw off your alignment, put additional strain on other components and reduce your fuel economy while you gain absolutely zero in terms of functionality. That's probably why you're struggling to find a lift kit for a 2wd truck. That kit is designed to do no more than level the truck out to eliminate some of the "rake" that comes standard thus the title "leveling kit. When you do that and then load up the bed with something heavy or hitch up to a trailer with a decent tongue weight, then the front of the truck sits higher than the rear and it looks goofy IMO.

I personally think it looks great just the way it is but it's your truck so do what you like with it.
