Well, currently it's under 6 inches of snow...oh and for anyone who cares, I'm proud of this truck. Pulled a coach bus off the interstate up an incline last night. The city of Atlanta needs to figure stuff out...

What is the bittering agent? That sure would be a good deal. When my dog was a puppy I changed my coolant filter and set the old filter down for a second. I looked down and my dog had her head over it and I yelled at her. I don't know if she ever took a lick but we called the vet and the vet had us forcing charcoal, beer and that stuff that makes you puck down her throat. I don't remember the sequence of the three. Poor thing, she probably thought we were trying to kill her. I had to hold her and when this was over with, I looked like swiss cheese.

In most European countries, they put an additive in the anti-freeze that makes it bitter to the taste (maybe a teaspoon of English beer...). Costs about $0.03 per gallon, ZERO impact on the function of the anti-freeze, but it's no longer attractive to animals. We shouldn't have to have the feds throw yet another regulation down, but the mfrs here just won't do it themselves, and they've actually FOUGHT legislation to require it.

Not sure what they do in Canada; maybe a spoonful of Tim Horton's coffee....

So for some reason, now my truck won't start with the key, my speedo doesn't work, and my abs light is on. Anyone have any ideas?

What happens when you try to start it with the key?

Does the odometer display a number?

Nope. Odometer doesn't come on either. When I try to start with the key, the wait light goes off and all the other lights come on like when it normally starts. It's done this before and I just mess with the under dash wires and it starts. But the speedo and odometer has never not worked

What happens when you turn the key to START?

Either the PSOM is bad, or the fuse for it is blown. Fuse assignments are in the owner's manual.

Check all your battery connections. I had a similar problem that turned out to be loose connections.

VSS wouldn't make the odometer go blank. Either there's no power to the PSOM, or the PSOM itself it out.

I guess my biggest question is two fold:

1) When are you going to get a signature?

2) When are you going to put a location? I am guessing, base on a previous post, that you are in the Atlanta area.

Can't remember when mine went out if the speedo went out to or not. But I thought it did. I know I drove it another 150 miles then the CPS went out as well. I was on a hunting trip when all this happen to me and it lost me a day or so because I didn't know what it was at the time. Years back.

So my speedo and odometer still don't work, the abs light is on, and the key still won't get it to turn over. All fuses are fine. What should I try replacing...?
