Exhaust manifold bolt R&R in KS?
Howdy all. Stationed overseas, and my 2003 F250 (V-10) has the dreaded broken exhaust manifold bolt issue. My Dad took it to a shop, who quoted $5k to remove the engine to do the job. I have read threads where the usual price is $800-$1000 for the job in total. Any of you Kansas guys taken your truck to a shop that you can recommend for this price range?
FWIW, I'm rotating back in about a month and would like to have this done soon, as I won't have much time to pick up the truck and drive out to my next duty station--no time to do it myself.
Also, BTW, truck is located in the Junction City area.

geez.. 5k is gonna bite the wallet, Dicks Autoplaza in Manhattan has been fairly good to me over the years, but no where near inexpensive. I do most of my work myself, on most of my vehicles, but that sounds like it may be a bit tricky, if they are wanting to charge that much. Del, you have anybody you trust for that kind of thing?

Your Automotive is a one-man shop in JC, I think it's about 4 blocks north of Autozone. The guy has always been super straight with me when it came to repairs and he took his time to find problems and to not overcharge me. It's been about 3 years since I brought anything to him but I've had nothing but amazing luck with shop.
