Edge Insight info, please?

Nope. I have an SCT SF3 for a tuner. Just looking to monitor the critical information on the 6.0, i.e. EOC/ECT deltas, FICM health, battery health, EGT, Fuel Pressure... The rest of the critical info I'll figure out as I learn how it all comes together but for now I think I have an understanding of these. I'm still wrapping my head around other factors like IPR% etc.
The Insight seems like a pretty cool device. I like that it gives live info and has the alarm if exceeding safe parameters. I also like some of the bells and whistles like the back up camera for hooking up my 5th wheel hitch. It's kinda hard to see with the crew cab ya know...

Naw, sadly I flaked on that. I'm so ashamed that I read all that everyone posted about the importance of a monitor and didn't follow through with the purchase. In my defense, my priorities have been that huge remodel I'm still in the middle of. I did manage to have a good night at the casino, however, so I decided to bite the bullet and get an Insight. Especially after the crack that appeared in one of my heads and hearing that it may have been due to not monitoring my EGTs. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. I'm a gonna change my ways.

The Edge is a very nice product and does an excellent job of monitoring the items that you want to watch on a continual basis, the PID's that are missing are more used for trouble shooting no start issues like IPR%, FICM sync and some others like clutch fan RPM, EGR valve position and EGR valve volts and while not necessary on a daily basis sure would be nice to have if the need arises. And as mentioned earlier the Edge is a straight plug and play and the EAS system is way cool and easy to add items like universal pressure sensors, back up camera, you can run 2 EGT probes and all can be done without cutting into the factory harness, the EAS system connects to the Insight via a daisy chain connector that is pretty slick.

Got it, Brett. Thanks, that clears up a lot for me. I think the Scangauge would be a nice supplement. I'll get Edge Insight now for my daily runner. I'll pick up a scangauge next time I have a winning night at the casino, LOL. Hopefully that wont be necessary, if Edge should get going on adding those missing PIDs. Adding the missing PIDs would make their product a no-brainer. I hope they're listening here...

I use Edge, I don't like the SG myself...
But reality is reality. Most people will still buy what they like regardless.
Hell, people still buy Chevy's and we all know they are junk! LOL
I can see Edge maybe adding what they should eventually, but really the important stuff is there. The rest should be there to make it more complete though...
