I have a 92 f250, I converted away from the spicer 50 twin traction to the Dana 60 straight axle. I was told a reverse shackle kit would raise my front end 4 extra inches... anyone have experience in this? Also am having trouble finding leaf springs with over 6 inches of lift... question 2 on my 98 ranger the four wheel drive high and low dash lights blink 6 times every couple of minutes, anyone ever have this? The ranger wont shift into 4 wheel drive either... any knowledge is greatly appreciated!

I have approximately 6 inches of lift now, if the reverse shackle for the front indeed does raise the front I would like to replace the rear springs to level the truck back out. Plus my goal is to run 46in XMLs

You do realize how much those tires weigh a piece, don't you? I'm guessing you are getting a "good deal" on them? What kind of gearing are you running? Motor/tranny? Any upgrades like axleshafts or U-joints?

its 4.11 gears right now, but i am moving up to 5.38 gears when i get the tires. yes i am getting a good deal. still have nipples on the 46s for 200 a piece. its not my daily driver, its a recovery vehicle. i am in florida, and far from in highschool. is this a meet and greet or is this the forum for asking questions and getting answers? i dont know everything thats why i am asking. its a 7.3 with an e40d upgraded, freshly rebuilt with a lifetime warranty. any other questions about the truck or could someone tell me what they would do differently?

Better invest in upgraded parts for those Axles while your at it because your gonna be snapping axle shaft's and axle joints like crazy if they are stock turning that much weight, pretty sure they are a good bit heavier than Bogger's or something that would pull twice as good.

looks like for getting enough lift to clear 44-46" tire's is gonna require some fabricating skill's

This may get you a little more lift for the front, if you do a shackle reversal for the rear end you should net a couple inch's aswell

From the description...

To develop this kit we worked closely with the people that matter the most, you guys! This was the first kit on the market to offer a complete bolt on RSK (reverse shackle kit) to use the Superduty springs on the OBS (old body style) trucks that required no frame or bumper modifications.

With this kit, you can bolt on our conversion hangers using existing holes in your frame and clear all factory bumper mounts and components. For trucks that are wanting to install an intercooler, we have designed the kit with optional bolt locations to allow proper clearance for most intercoolers. For this installation configuration, you will need to drill two additional holes per side.

The installation of this RSK kit will provide a noticeable improvement in ride quality. This is accomplished through the use of a longer Superduty spring and the relocation of the shackle to the rear of the spring. With that change, the truck is no longer fighting against itself when it hits bumps on the road. Instead, you will have a truck the drives and handles like a 1999-2004 F-250/350.

The kit is available in 3 different lift heights. This is the lift amount of the kit itself. Please keep in mind that depending on what code of Superduty springs are used, you may have additional lift amount. The kit comes complete with the front hangers and rear shackles and all needed assembly hardware. Superduty springs and spring eyelet bolts are not included.
