Shawn, buses are the same way. A pillar starts at the front and it continues right on down the bus at each window. If you get to Z and there are more, then the next one will be AA, then BB, then CC as so forth.

 

yup... some are even made of titanium and chrome molly... corvettes are fiberglass... theres even ones made of mostly ABC injection molded plastic too...

there are some parts still made with steel.. but most of thats just skin and its like 16-18ga steel at best anymore..

difference between Europe vehicles and US vehicles... Europe vehicles have to be able to protect occupants up to and above 100mph crashes due to the audenbaud (or however its spelled.. that highway with only a "minimum" speedlimit) ... US vehicles are only tested up to the "average" posted highway speed limits.. mainly being 65 mph...

another difference is the emissions and brake components.. over there they require Stainless steel wrapped lines to prevent blow outs at those high rates of speed... here they can get away with cheapie rubber...

id take a 79 suburban over a newer truck... the one we had not only protected my family when it rolled (and stayed rolling on the roads for another 12 years after that even though insurance totaled it) it also took the abuse of a 32 ft tag along camper slamming into it when it popped off the ball during that accident..

 

I just switched over to see if the game was on and I heard the commnetators ripping the ref for the bad call.

 

Blackhawks scored and won the game!
