Will this work?

I have a 87 bronco that is off road only, I also have a set of rears out of a 86 f350 I was wondering if I could keep the housing in the bronco and swap the knuckles, axles, center section from the 350 to the bronco

Unless your bronco has the same axle as the 350 the answer is no.

The axles are different but I thought since I would be changing everything but the housing from the 350 it would work since the housings look the same

They have different axle numbers and names because they are different. Different total width, shaft size, carrier size, pinion shaft size and depth, c clip or not. Lots of variations.

It would help if we knew what you have in your bronco now for and axle. The 350 is probably a dana 60. Not to mention the gear ratios are probably different.

The bronco has a 44 and the 350 is a 60 with 4:10's I have the matching rear rear I plan to use I was just thinking it may be better for me to swap everything from the 60 to the 44 rather then trying to make the 60 fit the coil spring set up in the bronco. Basically I just put a built motor in the bronco and want to run bigger tires therefore I need stronger axles but I'm on a tight budget and have the rears laying around so I was hoping for an easy way to make it work

No matter what you did the 44 is still gonna be a 44. 35s are about the limit if you use the truck. It'll break with 35s if you really use it.

Best bet is swap front and rear 60s in. You do that 44s would be no sweat
