Question Distributor Dysfunction

'91 F 150 w/ 302, got a code 211, tested PIP sensor voltage and it was good. Pulled the distributor and completed visual check, everything looked good. Removed ICM, tested it, and it failed. Installed the new one and won't start. Realized that when I stripped everything I did not match mark the rotary vane before re-assembly. Could this be the problem? Any suggestions on a fix if I don't figure it out in the morning? Thanks for any help.

Distributor Dysfunction

After daylight broke again today I can see that the rotary vane orientation is fixed so that it can't get screwed up. It started right up on the first try. I guess the little ol' Ford Fixit Fairy must have flown by and waved a magic wand last night. Idles a bit rough, I'll look through the old posts here to get some ideas.
