Speaking of racing, just talked to the guy that sponsored a lot of the drag racing at Newton speedway a couple years ago and he is working on the GM of the place to bring it back so might have something to do with the Galaxie again.

Eddyville is running their Midnight Madness, essentially no rules, no helmets even... On select weekends of course... Thinking of winging the 66 Mustang together just to go play... managed to scroe a 4 barrel intake to put onto a windsor to put in it. Now I just have to come up with a windshield...

I ran at Eddyville once and I wasn't impressed. lost a tenth on my 60ft and everyone keeps telling me how much better I will hook there. I couldn't get a hold of anything.
My trap speeds were the same but ET was off.
And I thought if you broke below 8.50 you still had to wear a helmet. Last time I was there, they made me have a helmet, and checked for driveshaft loop.

Morning Gerry, I see you lurking around on the site....
Got my car back on the road. After I pulled the fuel pump and put the new one in, I understand some of my issues... it is spring loaded to keep it at the bottom of the tank. The old springs were way weak, possibly to the point they bouyancy of the fuel may have actually been lifting it...

The new pump modules come complete, pull one, put the other in. It definitely has good spring pressure, as it was troublesome to gey the snap ring in place to retain it into the tank. It reads the level proper now for certain
