I know Rick. It can not be helped. Once you start cooking with charcoal you dont want to go back to propane for a grill. For camping I dont even use the propane stove. It is more fun to cook over the fire. And the smell of a good beef stew cooking over the fire in a dutch oven with a peach cobbler for dessert is just out of this world. add to that 9 out of 10 people dont know how to cook over a fire and are surprised with what I can make.
it gives it a better taste imo... propane always makes me feel like im eating an over cooked burnt burger.... with charcoal i get a "cooked" burger with some added smokey flavor...
