Hey all. Finally got back today. Got snowed in yesterday in Niagara Falls NY. Had to wait until they plowed the snow this morning so we could get out of the Hotel parking lot LOL. Pulled into customs at about 8:45 and was out in less than two minutes. Had probably the nicest female customs officer we've ever had. Very pleasant and I didn't feel like we were being suspect. I know they have a dangerous job, but I think that's all one asks. I don't even mind the car search as long as they don't make you feel like some low life piece of crap. Here's a funny one. From the time we crossed into Canada and to the edge of the GTA the traffic was traveling at about 120KPH/ 70MPH roads nice and clear. Then boom! the roads became snow covered, slippery and traffic slowed to about 60KPH/ 40MPH. Once again it was quite clear Toronto city officials hadn't heard it was going to be heavy snow Friday LOL. Reached the 400 North and like magic the roads were cleared and back up to speed. Gotta love it. Kind of embarrassing if you ask me for a so called world class city hosting the busiest stretch of highway in all of North America.

No Tim, we were just in Niagara Falls NY. It was bad enough there. Those poor folks out on the coast sure got it again. Gotta feel for them. Man they've had a rough stretch the past six month's with all Mother Nature's thrown their way. Sure hope they get back on their feet quick this round.

It's a laugh Gerry. Sitting in the Hotel room yesterday watching a bit of the tube and seeing how all the Northern States were prepping the plows, city works crews and contract crews was awesome. The bumbling idiots running the great city of Toronto need to watch, listen and take a page out of those books.

We had a great three day R&R session LOL. Met some really nice people from PA and upstate NY. Had a great time and the Comfort Inn where we stayed was awesome as well. They have a very nice friendly staff. This morning I got up early as usual didn't make a coffee in the room like usual and went down to the lobby. Grabbed a paper and looked in to see if the continental breakfast was set up. The night gal on the desk sad sorry they don't get in for another half hour. No problem I said and sat down and started reading the paper. Next thing I know she comes over and says I went in and put on a pot of coffee for you it'll be ready in about 5 minutes or so. That made me feel quite happy that she went out of her way without me even asking. It's really nice to see people go out of their way to do the little things that make your stay that much more pleasant. Not the classiest hotel but then I'm not the classiest guy either. I don't need the Ritz and quite frankly don't like it. It was quiet, comfortable beds, very clean and super friendly staff. All that and only about 500 feet from the falls.
