new problems

Okay--
When driving, the truck is fine except that after a few stops, it does not like to slow down--at that point the truck stalls. This is frustrating.

I also have an exhaust leak on the passenger side that I will address shortly, but I wanted to get ideas as to the cause of stalling. It starts back up fine, well, the initial engine turn is rather sluggish, but after it fires up it sounds great.

With the exhaust leak, you can only hear it during acceleration, not so much when I lay off the gas.

So why is the truck dying? Ideas?

What do you mean by "it does not like to slow down"? Do you mean the RPM is hanging or the engine idles too fast?

Either way, it sounds like the carb and choke needs to be adjusted. The choke piston (Autolite 2100/2150) could also be sticking.

Well, it only stalls out at stops or turns when I'm going slow, lower RPMs.
