Considering a '97 B4000

I need a new truck, and found this one:
97 Mazda B4000 (Ford Ranger)
What are some things to look for on these? How many miles can you get out of a 4.0?

4.0 OHV, well into the 200,000s has been reported here.

4.0 SOHC, again, many into 200k, but some fail as early as 50k, with many at around 120k due to failure of the cam chain tensioners.

The 5 speed automatic is another item prone to failure at fairly low miles.

Drive it. If it shifts ok and doesn't wind between gears, you are good. Listen to the engine on startup. If it's a SOHC, listen for rattling.

Ball joints and rear axle bearings also pop up with high miles.
