downshift problem
I have a 98 lariat 4x4 5.4l, is it right for the thing to downshift on just about every hill? It tends to do this with a light load or when 6 people are crammed into the cab. Should the tranny pull this a little better or is it geared more for better mileage. I think it has 3.55 gears with the towing package.

I would see if you can find another truck that is exactly the same, maybe a used one on a lot, and take it for a spin to see if it feels the same. They usually do shift down quite often. If you dont want that to happen just press the OD off button on the shifter to keep it out of OD.
