I test drove a 2000 F150 today that was purchased in Virginia and brought to NC for sale.

The asking price for the truck is $6795 @ 124800 miles. What I noticed was the body was in good shape minus a couple small dings; engine and compartment very clean. Good driving good power; 4x4 works well.

Then I crawled underneath. Chassis undercoating has deteriorated and rust is forming at points along the frame and on the drive shaft. PDLs for both drivers and passenger doors click but don't lock or unlock he doors. Cruise control doesn't kick in when attempting to set; AC seems to be cool as I drove today but we are talking December in NC around 50 or so.

On door locks, you likely need actuators replaced due to rusting fast.
The boots that keep water out have gone bad.
On Cruise control, do the test to see what flash code results, then refer to the discription of the problem for the repair..
On A/C, put gages on and see what the system has in it.
