PCV question

Rebuilding a 460 to go into a 1975 F 250 with a c-6 and 3.54 Dana 60. Flat top pistons on d3 heads, rv cam. Do i need to stick with the pcv spacer that scavenges from the intake or can I use the pcv nipple on the new carb? What about breathers on both valve covers? I know I need to use a pcv system, just don't know what's best.

Short block is together and getting ready to install heads and intake. Intake is a cast iron 4 barrel- square bore I picked up from an old timer. Carb is an new summit 600cfm electronic choke. Not gonna do the EGR thing.

Any advice welcome. Thanks

Use the one on the carb baseplate as it will evenly distribute any blowby to more than one cylinder.

location ?

big vann,

I will use the baseplate because I have all the factory hardware to make it work. The problem is a fitment issue with the summit carb. The back of the carb hangs down and interferse with the pcv baseplate. Can i run a spacer between the pcv baseplate and the carb? Or will it hurt the scavenge of the system? Thanks for your input.

If that carb is the 08600VS then it has a port for the pcv on the right front of the carb at the bottom on the base plate, just hook the hose to it
