thats right...no need to google. My post was so chalk full of common sense just leave it where it is. I'm not making that up Prep... I've seen a couple articles from reliable sources (I won't begin to try and remember where) that have stressed that point, as well as talking with various repair and salvage shops that have commented on the condition of a supercrew vs supercab after a rollover situation.

I'll throw something else out there, while not entirely comparing apples to apples, my parents have had a handful of extended cab chevy 1/2 ton trucks. They always seem to have more wind noise than my crew cab trucks... They've been good trucks for them though...

I can handle it

I looked on the subject, there is no such claims, no citations that i have found to support such claims that one is safer over the other. Both trucks (as well as the regular cab) have to go through the same testing and recieve the same safety ratings that I have googled. (please cite me if Im wrong!)

Cite the source please so i can get more informed about the subject! I may have been misinformed.

Just thought I would cite my info

crewcab
2012 Ford F-250/350/450 Super Duty 4WD Crew Cab 6-3/4 Ft Box Lariat Safety Features - Consumer Guide Automotive

supercab
2012 Ford F-250/350/450 Super Duty 4WD SuperCab 6-3/4 Ft Box Lariat Safety Features - Consumer Guide Automotive

Note how they have the same safety features, nothing is mentioend about added safety due to cab configuration, nor has any of the ten minute googling I have done found any info.

Citations please! I will even call the body shops and salvage yards you list Sherm, to gain more knowledge on this subject! (please list the guys name you spoke to at each place so I can talk to them personally!)

Thanks

Take it with a grain of salt, its just their own rating. Chevy guys would rate teh truck 2 out of 110, where ford guys would rate it 110/110 haha.

Not sure what ya expect from a big ol diesel truck. The size of them makes them safe compared to say a toyota corolla. But they dont have nears the safety of the likes of those kind of vehicles. Roll over one of those little cars and they usually fare better then a big heavy truck.

Except where it counts, when ya crash them against each other haha!

Are new Fords designed to have the engine drop out like the new small cars?
