should i haul a goose neck trailer with my new truck??

I have a 97 CCLB 5 speed powerstroke. anyway i just bought it 2 weeks ago and it has a goose neck hitch in the back. its has a 4" suspension lift and it sits on 35s. i have a 18ft bumper pull right now but considering a goose neck if i can find a cheap one. would i be able to haul a goose neck considering the lift? is it a good idea?

if it will hitch up and your rear lift is not a block lift, I dont see an issue.

problem with goose necks and lifts is that the hitch on the trailer wont raise high enough.
You wanna tow trailers level, not angled.

Before i did my body lift i just had a 4inch lift and 35's, blocks and add-a-leaf in the rear. Didnt have any problems. Whats wrong with goosenecks and blocks?

ok well i dont have a gooseneck yet, but im considering it. i guess itll just depend on the trailers height and whether or not the trailer neck is adjustable

Don't forget to pay attention to clearance at the bed rails. Just because you can adjust the hitch, doesn't mean the trailer won't rip up the side of your bed during a turn and dip in the road (like when you pull out of a parking lot).

Towing with 35's and a 4" lift isn't a deal killer. Look for a trailer with 16" wheels as they tend to sit a bit higher than ones with 15" wheels.

Is it a flat bed or utility style trailer? With a utility style you will most likely damage the bed.

I don't see any problem. Just make sure that you tow the trailer well. It's just depend on the trailers height and whether or not the trailer neck is adjustable.
