Need Help!

I have a 1985 Ford F150 with a 351 Windsor (W or H... believe its H) block that has been bored out 30 over with a high rise cam. I recently got the heads machined due to a spring snapping in half. I have put the motor back together, but now she won't fully start up anymore. We have the firing order right, even though the distributor has the number one spot facing towards the front bumper. It turns over, makes noise, gets spark, gets fuel, but won't fire up at all, she has even spit gasoline back out the Holly High Performance 700 Carb that I have on it. Any and all ideas are welcome!!! Also, I don't have any compression, Help is greatly appreciated.

Broken valvetrain parts + no compression + blowback through the intake = grossly incorrect camshaft timing. Pull the timing cover and inspect for a slipped or broken timing chain and/or gears.

The #1 cylinder is the first one on the paseenger side cylinder bank, starting from the front. The #1 plug wire terminal is at the 1 o'clock position on the distributor cap, looking at it from the front of the vehicle. The rotor turns counterclockwise. Now, you also must have the timing pointer aligned with the timing marks on the balancer before stabbing the distributor, and the #1 cylinder has to be at TDC on the compression stroke when doing so. If all this is done correctly, it should fire right up and run. My guess is that you've got the distributor way off and way out of time.
