Heads - Decoding
I have a 1978 Lincon Block coming out of my truck theat i belive has 351 smogger heads. How do i tell? The casting muber is:
78 - 8G20
Also correct me if i'm wrong. 68-72 heads did not have the exhaust bumps and have smaller combustion chambers 64cc vs 72cc and larger valves? (i'm going to go the wrecking yards and see is i can find some)
also can you put 289 heads on a 351 windsor? what would the compression be and could you get them to flow just as well as 86 windsor heads?
