Ok, sorry it's been awhile ya'll, thing have been crazy busy recently and I ain't really had the time. But right now I'm working on one of my next projects. Basically what I'm trying to do is set up a switched power source for at least 3 different things. 1. my dash fd lights 2. my grille lights 3. a 12v plug for a phone charger, gps, whatever else I might need to plug in. I've got a bussmann 6 circuit fuse panel that I planned on using. My question though is could I get enough power from a switched fuse tap to run all of these? I'd much rather use one of those rather than a direct battery line, I've just had to replace my battery, solenoid, and alternator so I'd like to have the switched power as a kind of back-up. Thanks ya'll!

I don't understand "dash fd lights". And, no one can tell you if you can get enough juice from a switched fuse w/o knowing what your grill lights are, meaning how much current they draw. Or, let me say that if they do tell you then you know you shouldn't believe them 'cause they cannot answer your question w/o that info.

But, having said that, I'll answer your question here and now: NO. You aren't going to get enough power from a switched tap off the fuse panel to plug in "whatever else I might need to plug in". Maybe you want to plug in an air compressor or air conditioner. We don't know and, therefore, the only way to answer the question accurately is NO.

Please start over. Tell us what you have and what you intend to plug in. How many lights of what current draw, each? Then we can answer with other than NO.
