Called up the carpet shop where we got our carpet for the second floor of the house about getting it re-stretched because of these wrinkles that showed up after a few years. Turns out they have had problems with that particular carpet doing that and the mill agreed to replace it all. We just had to pay the price difference from 5 years ago, and of course the PITA of moving everything in 3 bedrooms. Go figure, like everything else carpet has gone up by a third at least since 2019! Yesterday was the install day, today my job is put all the closet doors and railings back on. Hopefully this will be the last time! Mama is happy, she wanted it to be darker since the day they installed it 5 years ago.

Howdy all. Winter storm / Hazard Watch has been extended 2 days here. Bright and sunny earlier and I was able to get the tractor out and scrape the sidewalks off. Finished just as more clouds started rolling in. NWS has filled their little squares up now, thru Sunday, with nothing but snow flakes.

The Home Depot saga is about over and the snow blower is history for now. I think I went 10 rounds with Mohamed Ali but 5 phone calls, 1 disconnect while on hold waiting for someone from “The Leadership Team”, 3 customer service reps that were lousy at their jobs-knew nothing and tried or did give me the runaround….

Those people have no idea where the snow blower is and all the hot air about find it and delivery was just that, hot air. One of them even tried to tell me that the order had never been picked up by the shipper and was still sitting at the point of origin in New Jersey. When I cornered her on the tracking sheet she started back peddling rapidly.

Anyway, I think I finally got the snow blower order cancelled. They are refunding all but the $150 price match that was supposed to have been refunded on Feb 1. They are now saying the store in Bend was supposed to call me and complete that price match refund. So I have to call the store this morning to see where that $150 is at. This is completely different from what I was told on Feb. 1. CS told me then that the $150 refund was complete and would show up as a refund on my credit card in 3 to 5 days. What a nightmare this experience with Home Depot has been.

Flash snowstorm this morning. Nice and sunny and 43°F when I left the house, cloudy by the time I got to the eye surgeon's office 45 minutes later. Got a steroid injection in my eye since the inflammation had increased. By the time I drove home it was 22°F and there was about an inch of snow accumulation and the streets were slick. Bridgestone snow tires did well.

Howdy all. Supposed to get pretty stormy around here for the next 6 or seven days. Todays forecast has been changed from snow to rain at our elevation until 1600 then snow for the next 7 days. High winds are supposed to kick in tonight thru Friday morning. Red Flag warnings for both Snow and Wind thru Friday morning. Guess we'll see. Klamath County is serious enough about the Wind they sent out telephone alerts yesterday to our area of the county.
We need to drive into town (50 miles away) and get a ton of wood pellets here in the next couple of days. Down to about a 5 day supply. Gas and diesel cans along with 7 20# propane bottles all filled up and ready to go if we need to fire up one of the generators.

Picture from the service advisor. He's going to "follow up" with me on the phone.

That's going to leave a mark on the bill! Extended warranty?

Yes, covered by the extended warranty. At least that's what I'm assuming. The only call I've had from the service advisor was that they were working with Ford to see if it was covered. If it wasn't covered, I would expect a call saying, "It's going to cost you this much."

Never goats, but maybe sheep. Male goats stink, and all goats eat everything and climb all over the place. We had someone dump 2 goats on us and they were a nightmare. I would have pushed them into the road and called the cops but the wife didn’t want to. Took us 2 painful weeks to find someone to take them, and being uncastrated we couldn’t even eat them.
