Good afternoon guys, We got home last night, had a great time. We seen lots of need stuff the last few days from the Redwoods of Northern California to the Sand Dunes of Oregon. I tried to rent an ATV but by the time we got to the Dunes it was to close to closing time, so no ATV ride for me.
@Darren, good looking 550 you have, and looks like you had a good day yesterday on the lake.
@Gig, Good looking Edge you picked up for the MIL
My truck in the Redwoods

Oh Yeah we seen lots of Elk a few in California.
And a few in Oregon. We seen a bunch in Washington also but didn't stop to take pictures. This group in Oregon are in a protected area and the story goes that they hurt them up and move them later in the spring. There two groups the largest group had probably 50 to 75 animals in it. I didn't get photo's of them as they were a long ways from the road.

Beautiful scenery, Tim. Ma and me have been wanting to go out there one of these days. We have friends in the Coos Bay area and family in SoCal. It would make a nice trip I think. We went to Mt. Saint Helens in 2007. That was a fun trip. Spent a lot of time in central Idaho on the river. Need to go back there someday.
Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Be safe.

@ Darren, nice sled, we could have used it here today. Cool pic from the lake house too.
@Tim - Mmmmmmm those elk look tasty. Like Ron said, I want to take a trip to northern cali some day. Great pic of the truck in the woods.
I got a chance to pull the truck outside yesterday and take a few pics, it was a beautiful day, 50° and a slight breeze.
Fast forward 24 hours.....
...we have over a foot of snow now, this was about 6:30 tonight. I started watching the NASCAR race from the DVR, and about lap 60 I lost satellite reception because of heavy snow.
Have a good evening all.
