Good Christians story Darren, ya learn something everyday!
We are getting more snow today. We don't have a lot yet 4 to 5" but it sound like the hills are getting hammered.
Have a good day, and if I miss anyone before Christmas. Have a Merry Christmas!

I did see the new star wars.
It actually had much more story and better characters than the last three that came out. They went back to using real sets and practical effects instead of a blue screen for everything.
I highly recommend seeing it.
@gerry, I am also taking the rest of the year off. Currently relaxing in Utah.

Howdy gang! It took a while to catch up on this thread, but I finally made it. I doubt I actually catch up on any of the other threads though.
Pat I have a smoker, and the best advice I can offer is to watch the barbeque shows on TV to pick up pointers on technique. There is so much to learn, it could make you head spin. Additionally, you will have to experiment to see what fits your tastes, as well as what technique works for each type of meat and how the smoker performs. My brother and I both enjoy smoking broskets and pork shoulders. WE will typically smoke at 225* for 12 hours for either oif those two cuts. On my briskets, I will use a dry rub, but on my pork shoulders, I will also inject either pineapple juice or apple juice - in addition to a dry rub. You can vary the flavor of the meat simply by changing which wood you use for smoking - in addition to changing how you season the meats before or after cooking. Also, trimming the meats before cooking is fine, but don't be tempted to overtrim, or the meats will try to dry out. It could take a lot of experimenting to find a combination of meat, seasoning, wood and technique that you like, so don't get discouraged.
I am finally back home after being gone since last Wednesday evening. Thursday, my former fiance and I drove up to my parents' up in Hugo, OK. Soon after we arrived, we hopped on 4-wheelers and headed out to show her the property. Later that evening, we all sat around and visited. The next morning, we grabbed guns, ammo and targets and headed out on the 4-wheelers to do some shooting. My former fiance had not shot anything in a while and asked me to help her get back into the pistols and had never shot a rifle with a scope - and hadn't shot many rifles at all over the years. After a little coaching, she was catching on pretty well and having fun. So that there would be no question as to whether anyone hit their targets, I bought a crap load of these:
We were shooting these with a .243 at 100 yards. You gotta love blowin stuff up! It took her a few shots to get on target, but as soon as she hit the first one and let out a squeal, she chambered another round and shot the second one - followed by another squeal.
Besides loving shooting and blowing stuff up, she was able to help my parents wit their livestock, and even jumped up each evening to wash the dishes for my mom without even being prompted or asked. The reason why she is my former fiance is because I guess my parents were so impressed by her that they decided we needed to go ahead and lock her in before she could change her mind, so we got married Saturday morning by their pastor, over breakfast, at the local diner! Woot! Since we weren't actually planning that, we didn't bring either of our rings with us. We were out later Saturday afternoon touring the Beaver Bend National Forest, and she bout me a ring at the gift shop for $8 so I would have something to hold me over until getting back home to get my real ring.
Later gang. Going to try to catch up on more stuff around the house for now, then maybe another thread or two.
Not bad for $8
