Ok, that's enough C-clamps sacrificed for this project. I just bought and put the new shop press together, hopefully it's what I need. Then I'll just have one handy for the next time I need to squish things together (or apart).

Back at it tomorrow...

Gerry, the black pads are just some engineer's idea of an accent. Ultimately it is just another piece of black plastic to fade out! None of the plastic on top of the bumper is large enough to use as a step unless you are a ballerina and have tremendous toe strength. The only thing accessible and strong enough to step on is the tow hooks. I guess small guys could step in the bumper opening, but the bumper flexes a lot under the weight of a big guy.

My final answer is the plastic is there to make the bumper a pain in the *** to clean!

I've pressed bushings in and out using a bottle jack and the underside of the truck hitch in the past.

Not sure I'd like being under the truck with the redneck axle stand extensions though.

Trent, So how come you are changing your spring bushings? And what is the deal with your truck in the driveway and not the shop?

Thanks for relaying the message Darren! I'm back boys!

We had virtually no cell coverage. I couldn't use voice at all and the occasional txt or email went out. It rained 6 of the 7 days...HARD. We still had a great time.
Just dropped the trailer...

Base Camp (from up top at the Senior Patrol leaders camp for perspective...the adult camp was too the far left. We had to take up 3 sites as we brought three trailers and 34 scouts and 6 leaders to camp )

Also...I don't know if I should bring it up or not, but Paula Hill sent me Paul's "Savage Ford" license plate surround (that Gerry so nicely sent us). I will treasure it! She isn't much for long notes, but she said she had sold his truck and she wanted me to have it. It hit me pretty hard and I'm very appreciative of her sending it to me. I just hope we all keep him in our hearts as well as his wife and son. They have to be struggling and I pray they get through this challenging time as best they can...
