In Recovery... | TechEd demo: corruptions fatal to DBCC CHECKDB
"
The aim of this demo is to show that sometimes a database is so corrupt that DBCC CHECKDB just cannot run on it. In that case, there's no way to force DBCC CHECKDB to get past the fatal corruption and so there's no way to run a repair either - you're looking at restoring from a backup or at worst, extracting as much data as possible into a new database. "
Ugh.
Do you have any RedGate products? If so, I'd consider setting up a new database (from backup, if exists) and then migrating all the current data into it.

SQL Express does not have the agent to make backups easy. After enough trial and error I have a batch file which will call a SQL query to backup the database and name it with the date. I can run this every night.
As to the database I was having problems with, I think I got it licked. I ended up creating a new database and then using
Code:
INSERT INTO DestinationDB..DestinationTable SELECT * FROM SourceDB..SourceTable
I'm sure a SQL DBA would be laughing his *** off at me but then again, I would be laughing my *** off at them trying to figure out the hardware side of this stuff.

I would be set if I had a backup.

The important data that I needed was still there so I copied the data from the select tables that were important and now we will see if it works. I'll be heading down there either this afternoon or tomorrow morning to set up the new database.
