I have a 95 f150 flairside 4x4 5.8l auto, i was told the speedometer runs off the tone ring in the rear differential is this true? I am going to put 2.5 ton rockwell military axles in it along with a 36 inch suspension lift and 52 inch michelin tires, the tires are street legal and the truck will be street driven so i need to have a speedometerIf i mount the tone ring on the rear pinion could the speedometer be adjusted to read correct? The tone ring will be spinning 6.72 times faster than it does now thats the ratio of the military axles. Anyone know how much the speedometer can be changed? Is it infinitivley adjustable? Any help would be much appreciated.
