Good morning Delaware, happy Hump Day, and welcome to the first day of Summer, which begins at 6:09 this evening! Spent last night cutting down 3 pine trees in our yard, I'll have action photos tomorrow of my big dumb *** up on a ladder hacking them down. Yard looks waaaaay better with those scraggly damn things gone!
Hey George... I have not been keeping up to date, but how is your dad doing?
Dad is doing pretty good after the last bout with fluid buildup. He is doing well with physical therapy, meds seem to be the right combination and strength and his appetite is returning.
He tried to tell the nurse at the Dr's office last week that their scales were wrong because he hasn't gained 10lbs. So when I got him home, I checked his scales and they were right on with my home scale. Asked him to step on and weigh himself. He did except for the fact that he had a cane in one hand the the other was on the bathroom vanity to steady himself so he could see the scale. Asked him to give me the cane and take his hand off the vanity and stand up straight. Guess what? He weighed the same as in the Dr's office.
Glad I had the cane, because I laughed so hard I had tears rinning down my face.
Of course Dad failed to see the humor.
