Getting ready to see if the Sunday Night football game is any good. A friend of mine is a Steeler crazy man. So if nothing else I can get him all riled up tomorrow.
But it looks like dinner is about ready so I'm going to eat first.

Remember that I have a mill and a lathe at my house if you need some spacers made for your brackets that are giving you fits. I really don't know how to use them but I am sure that between you and me, we can figure out how to make what you need.

Thanks Kevin! i was able to make some spacers out of a piece of thick walled pipe. it's just a temporary fix till i find the correct pulley.

I am down to the little things, run new brake lines down to the porp valve, make some transmission lines, make a fuel line from the pump to the carb, measure for the drive shaft and have it cut down, find a place to make me a speedo cable, Wiring to run and hook up, decide if i want a new radiator or not... put the front clip on.

Hi all.

Productive weekend here. Found a hoist and 1500# stand on CL Friday night Bought 'em Saturday morning. Got motor out of my p'up. It's an oily mess...

Went to mount up to the stand and the arms arent wide enough for this motor!! I can mount the top two arms but lack 5/8" of spread to mount bottom two arms...

So I am stuck with the engine on the floor and no real way to work on it....
I guess I can squat down and start scrubbing oily goop off it while I evolve a solution...

Thanks Jon. I am wondering if i can either get a longer arm made or have the lower slots on the arm's plate widened a tad at a machine shop....

Jim if I were you I would just have them make them to size at a shop. I wish I even had one we don't even have a engine puller our towable one needs a new jack (don't try lifting a 20 ton mobile home with a 10 ton engine puller just don't work.

Thanks Trav. I threw th plate in my car on the way to work this morning but I'm thinking I should just bring the whole assembly and see what solution they can come up with.
