2008 RA Bumper $1500

12,000# Winch $1000

Lightforce lights $300

Piaas X4 $450

Ford Hood, Fenders, grill, grill braces, 08 hood struts, bump stops, primary and secondary hood release system, 2 piece fender emblems, 08 fender liners, 08 wiper cowl, 08 wiper motor, all new ford fasteners and hardware $1800

4 square feet 3/8 500B steel for custom bumper mounts to 04 frame $200

Paint $450

Recon Projector lights $650

Sawzall blades, plasma cutter tips/electrodes, weld wire $35

Misc rod, wire loom, square tube, nuts, washers, wiring, etc. $50

Busted knuckes - x 10 - free

So actually closer to 7K I guess. Less if you use a factory bumper. You would need the bumper brackets too. I guess around $600 for those parts < the lights, winch, bumper etc so it would be A $3800 or so if you have a plasma cutter/cutoff tool, welder and such.

It could be done for a lot less though, but I splurged for a lot of extra's and only used Ford parts. A Ford hood is $600.00 while a CAPA hood is like $200.00, same with the fenders.

Where all did you get the parts from?

I got the Ford parts from the local dealer, saves shipping.

The bumper came from Road Armor, headlights from Recon, steel from local shop, misc parts from auto parts store, home depot and such.

Thanks for the detailed post . I'm sure others where wondering too.

Which one of the lights you listed is the regular front head lights (or are they after market HIDs)?

I could probably get a lot of those parts off junk yard trucks and on Craigslist for a lot less.

How difficult was this project (Ive fix the door locks and changed the running boards but nothing this big)? How many days did it take?

I have all the tool I will need except the plasma cutter and welder.

"Busted knuckles" lol. No pain no gain

Mine are aftermarket HIDs from Recon. 08's run about 200-300 from what I have seen.

I notice you removed the stock plastic gold trim that was glued around the truck. How hard was the trim to remove and did it damage the paint?

Looks better with out it since yours is blacked out.

Not hard at all. Its just double sided tape. Pull slow. No damage. The rear quarters will have the lower mounting holes that can be covered with he factory XLT stone guards. I can post pics if you like.

Looks great! Lot of work to make them fit.

I plan on going down to the junk yard to see if I can get some of the parts for the front end conversion soon. Hopfuly I can keep my budget lower than 7k .

You should be able to do it for 1/2 if you don't go crazy with the bumper and lights!

archtaan. Is that front bumper for the new f350 or is it one of the older styles? I only ask because I have one of the Fab Fours and it looks almost identical to the one you have less the bar.

NVM - Just read it. Durr. 2008 model. I wonder if I could get away with my 05 FF bumper with the 08 front end. hrmm

Looks like the rear side trimming is giving you a good fit with the rock guards. My rule always is that my cutting is always straighter when I drink...lol.
