I'm sure this has already been discussed but I have a 66 f100 and I'm looking for a antique truck club to join. I need to join one to get my antique plates in Louisiana. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Great! So is this like one of them insurance fraud scam things? Heard about those. How can I get an application? I wanna get over on the man, too . . .

 

I'm not sure how it works elsewhere, but here in CA they have "Historical Plates". Vehicle needs to be 25yrs or older to get one. Then no more smog checks, build it to the hilt. Problem with these plates you can't go anywhere, store, school, work. Only car shows, parades, etc. So I don't know why anyone would want one for something they want to use.

These state chapters don't get a lot of traffic so you might have to wait a few days for a reply. Or you could PM some of the guys on there and see if they respond.

 

It's not an insurance scam it's just a cheaper player and in Louisiana they are styled after the old plates and has the year of your vehicle on it.
