Well, considering that I get paid salary, it's not a bad deal. Paid vacation, paid while I'm drinking, working on the truck, sleeping...
And work is only a mile from where I live, so if all else fails, I can always walk there. Fuel cost is pretty low considering with the car I only need to fill up once every two weeks.
Looking forward to being back in KS though. The days are getting longer and longer, but at the end of the day, it's one less day until we leave here.
Lol. My kids have a mason jar of jelly beans. They wanted some and I said after breakfast but the kept begging and pleading so I tightens the jar really tight and said fine, but I'm not opening it. There really determined those two. I'm in the other room snickering away lol
Morning fellas. Warming up the garage to get some stuff done there today.

If it was summer and I got laid off, it would hurt financially, but man could I get some stuff knocked out around the house! LOL!
This wasn't so much seasonal as it was just the time at which work just dried up. Was with that company 4 years, and it happened one other time but I had a definite callback date that time. That time, it was over the summer and made it easy to go to shows and get stuff done around the house. When they didn't give me any sort of a callback date commitment this time, I decided to go looking for something else. Hopefully a bit more stability at the new place, as they do a LOT of DOT work in a number of different states, so that should help a lot.
my little sister is up to stay with the parents to help with dad because i need to get ready for snow tonight, and found the camping journals.

I use steel for mine, most do. A lot easier to weld up.
So is rust not a concern? What if you had water injection?

With it as cold as it is supposed to be the next few days, it's probably better that I work on indoor stuff anyway. They're calling for -20 to -30 wind chills tonight and tomorrow. Brrr.
Same here, this wind is the worst!

It didn't do bad here. I was only out for about 4hrs. There were a few white out times though. Stay safe Tom.
I've been in the garage most of the day, working on the half-ton. I didn't even know it was snowing til I came upstairs and started getting ready to go grocery shopping.
