I didn't get the thing for gas mileage. It's a toy not a daily driver, so it gets driven like a toy, and I'm an older type fart. Travis is younger than my daughter so I don't picture him being the type to set the cruise at 55 going down the freeway. Besides, have you seen the freeways around Austin? I've gone faster than that through school zones without speeding.

Understandable. I got my fox at the ripe ol age of 18, so it was babied. Lol. Never been to Austin, just through the pan handle. 24 was full fledged road trippin, but it did get decent mileage.

Talking with the wife, she wants me to get the Subaru. I like the idea of having another turbo in the fam.

When I put that tuner on there I decided to stretch it's legs a little one day just getting on the freeway. Was doing about 35 on the service road out in the middle of nowhere where I live and decided to see what it would do getting on the freeway. There was a car passing me on the freeway when I got on it.

When I merged onto the freeway off the entrance ramp, in front of that car, I looked down and the speedo said 95. I haven't had a speeding ticket since 1990. If I drove that pony every day, I'm guessing I would have one a bit more recent.

That's how I feel driving my PSD. LOL If I had a normal vehicle, I'd have a lot less speeding tickets.. I got caught by a cop when I was out testing this newest setup and the cop told me straight up that he was glad I pulled over b/c he didn't think he would be able to keep up with me. haha

Glenn, that pick was cruising to a race earlier this year. I drove at that speed or faster for about 3 hours there and back home. I got 15.8mpg on that trip. Driving normal at 60-65mph I usually get 20-21. lol

My trucks barely even seen that fast! Maybe on a few wot test runs, but that's it. I'd say 15.8 ain't bad for 90!

I had a 91 5.0 that wouldn't get over 15
It had a issue with the go pedal. It stayed stuck on the floor all the time.

LOL. I was going over 90mph. The first hour of my trip I traveled 107 miles. I'm not proud of it.. I really should take it easy on the old hunk of junk.

I've had a few Jeeps, Dodges, and even a Chevy Cavalier over the years, and there are good and bad in all of them, even Fords. But I've always been partial to Fords. I don't mean anything by giving other brands a hard time, it's all in good fun .

But.......Ford is the best!!! LOL!!

if you are having power output or reliability issues in a 4.0L you need a better mechanic.

even the non- HO engine has plenty of grunt for anything they put it in. Sure its not gonna win any races but for a stock engine its just fine.

and they are EXTREMELY reliable. Every engine family has its querks but the 4.0L has fewer than most.

Man, my summer work schedule with BLM is taking some getting used to after being in school full time for the past 2 years.

But I'm getting paid over $14 an hour to ride dirtbikes, so I won't complain!
