I think you made a good call Byron. If it is what you want you would be regretting it not long after it was gone. I wouldn't sell mine for 15k either and I don't have matching paint yet!

I say good call on that Byron, I in the other hand would of sold it, theres a variety to choose from in my area for cheap, imagine I pay 4-5 for another cclb maybe 4x4 and modify it/restore with the remain $$$$, I would still have enough to buy another and restore it or modify to my liking, ofcourse in my area everything gets done cheap so im lucky

Thanks Darin. Had it been just a few months ago, she would have been gone! I guess it was meant to be for me to keep it. I would have been really pissed at myself had I gotten rid of it. Its been sucha good truck even when its had issues.

I hear you Adam, but like Todd said...one $10k truck and a JW trans, and there's my budget. I have way more than that in Ruby. I paid $6500 and then at least $12k in mods with time etc...The only thing I might....MIGHT do would be trade for an equivalent truck with a manual. I just don't have the place or the help to do a swap.

Here is my thinking....even with that nice chunk of change in the bank, I could go buy another OBS and find a CCSB, but then I am looking at doing everything all over again and I just don't have the time or desire right now to do all of the stuff it takes to get these trucks running like mine runs. I KNOW what I have with mine. With another "really great" OBS, it's still a gamble. So, chastise me if ya like, but I said NO and I am glad I did. It was tempting for 5 minutes, but that's about it. He told me it was exactly what he was looking for to tow his new toyhauler. Yeah buddy, me too...

RUBY Stays!! Happy Friday everyone!
Glad you decided to keep Ruby! If you don't mind though, send that guy my way! I have a 4x4 version of Ruby with a torn up clutch that I'll sell him for $15,000! LOL!

I pulled my stock turbo in record time today. One hour and it is out with the exhaust housing off to put on the rebuilt unit.

I noticed the exhaust housing is 1.15 AR. Good or bad?

Crazy thing is that people are paying close to what's asked, too. Someone took a guess at what I paid for mine, and threw it out there at $14k...not even close....lol.

Nice choice! I woulda done the same! Actually I sure do wish I had a Crew Cab again. I got sick of hauling people and all of their chit around...now I don't have enough room for my wife dogs, and all of our chit on trips in a single cab... I am ok with not wanting to start over and build one all over again, I know there are many things I would have done differently.

Going from the CC to extended cab is a real shock. Instead opening the door my wife has to struggle to get her plants in the back seat and grocery's! LOL
