That used to be the case. Now more and more, the name brand stuff is also made over there, is the same quality, but costs 3 times more.
Now you've got to do the research and determine who sells what, and if it's worth the extra coin for possibly the same exact part from the same exact plant (with a different label)
Some Chinese crap seems to be improving. Some doesn't. Makes for interesting times.

Good news!
I got this navigator running Sunday night. I have to put the brakes together tonight after turning the rotors. That project is almost done so hopefully Clifford will come back to the front of the line.
Also put the 87' up for sale so hopefully it goes away and that$ can go to Clifford project...that's my plan anyway...
