If you can get an apt. on the same side of the river as your work, that will save some toll money. If you bring your truck, some parkways have a "ban" on commercial vehicles. If you do re-locate you can get passenger car plates if the pick-up weighs #5500 or less.

Thanks I will look it up! I was wondering about that as I have seen it in 04 and 05's and always liked it more but the Lariats I looked at had the same as our trucks.

No joke, from my house to the hotel, it was $41 in tolls. This will factor into whether or not I accept the position, based on the salary. It's a lot cheaper to live on the other side of the Hudson, but not if I'm shelling out $10-$15 in tolls. I'd rather spend a little more to live near to work and drive less, saving gas and toll charges.
The issue I'm finding with apartments is that they're either falling apart and expensive...or almost falling apart and ridiculously expensive. I lived at the Reston Town Center (which is stupid expensive) for cheaper than I could live in a closet in NYC, and my truck fit in the parking spots in Reston.
