I am having a problem with my 4 wheel drive. The front drive shaft turns, I hear it go in and the light is on in the dash, but I have no 4x4. The back wheels will spin, but I get nothing from the front. Could it be the transfer case or maybe the vacuum lines. I have auto locking hubs by the way. Please help me out, I went to the beach this weekend and got stuck. It was pretty embarrassing. thanks

If it were me, I would start the truck, switch into 4-high, and then reach under the truck and see if I could spin the front driveshaft with my hand. (Of course, I would be very cautious doing this, and I'd do it on a flat surface).
If you can spin the front driveshaft with your hand while in 4-high, then you likely have a problem with your hubs or T-case or both.
If you can't spin it with your hand, but the front tires still won't pull the truck, then the problem is likely in the transfer case.
