Does anyone know the part number for this or, if discontinued, a suitable replacement?


Rear barn door interior panel retainer.

A PO attempted to repair the barn door cable and must have pulled the retainers out of the fiberglass panel. I say this because when I went to re-repair them, I found they had used black RTV silicon to "reattach" them. Needless to say, they were not an easy removal but did finally come free with a pry bar. The good news, the metal cable ends are installed and the door is working again. The bad news.....




This now resides on my workbench while I figure out what to do next. Suggestions??? I have some black adhesive on standby should the need arise.

 

I think those can be bought at Lowes. In the hardware section they have an automotive fasteners section in the drawers near the stainless steel nuts/bolts.

 

Thank you for that suggestion. I will definitely check that out. For whatever reason, I always forget about that section being there.
