New to the FTE Forums
I've had three Powerstrokes over the years and a couple of F-150's. In 2008, I bought a Chevy Silverado. I know that isn't what you want to hear at a Ford forum, but it is what it is. I didn't have any issues with Ford's or diesels, but I wanted a change after driving a Ford for 15 years straight. For the first time in a long time, I didn't need to tow anything. I bought the Chevy Silverado and I loved it. It really was a great truck.
However, the kids are getting older and we decided to start riding again as a family. Although my trailer is all aluminum and relatively lightweight the Chevy didn't pull it worth a darn. It wasn't the trucks fault. It wasn't the right sized truck for the job. Here is a snap of the original set-up on Christmas morning when the kids were surprised with their new 4 wheelers.
It was clear I needed a bigger truck. I looked at both GM and Ford's, but as soon as I got in a Super Duty, I had seen enough GM's. My wife actually spotted this truck next to a DuraMax that I was going to test drive and she refused to test drive the DuraMax. She jumped in the Ford and told the salesman that we were going to take this one for a drive. An hour later, we ended up with a used 2011 F-250 SuperDuty with a 6.7 Powerstroke, Lariat Trim and 4x4. It has 32, 800 miles on it. Black leather interior, Nav, heated/cooled seats, sunroof, power folding and telescoping mirrors, and more. I am really happy with the truck. It needs tires, but I'll get those soon enough. I've had these Toyo MT's before and they wear quickly. I'll likely get some Nitto Trail Grapplers this summer. We are headed all over this summer pulling the trailer and five 4-wheelers. We have one trip that is over 2500 miles round trip. I think we will get out use out of it and quickly!
I am pretty active on forums. I hope to start contributing here as the days go on. It has been a while since I had a Powerstroke. My last one was a 2005 F-350. I'm really active on some ATV forums as well. See you around...

Savage, Welcome to the forum. This is my first F250 diesel, having traded up from an F150, and I expect like me, you will get a lot of enjoyment out of your truck. This is hands down the best vehicle I've owned and as I've said here previously, I enjoy driving it almost as much as my frame-off restored Resto-Mod'67 RS/SS Camaro- note I said almost! It will put a grin on you face.

Welcome to FTE.
As you read through posts, you'll notice a number of us like pictures so you pass on your first post!
Anyways, great looking "toys."
These new trucks are complicated beasts but there are a number of intelligent and experienced owners here and you'll learn something.
Once you load that trailer and tow it with the truck, check your mirrors because you'll forget you're towing something.

kper05...I have at least 15k posts across 9 different forums. I know the drill! Newbie's without pics should be banned
I'm a big tech geak and gamer as well. I run a gaming site as well, but I'm not here to plug any where else. I'm here to learn about my new truck and hang out with people with common interests.

Welcome to the site and congratulations on the truck. You have some really nice toys, just MAKE time to use them and enjoy your family. Those kids grow up so fast, then they are gone.
We have some really great members here. Some of these guys know these trucks inside out. Yes, once in a while the discussion can get a little rough. But we have super good moderators and they keep things civil and on track.
These trucks are a joy to drive and pull like crazy. The seats are comfortable on a long trip and we love the Sirius radio. Mileage is better than the 6.0's and are QUIET.
Again, enjoy and welcome!!!
