New truck woes!
After being without a truck for three years I recently bought a 95' F350 crew cab with the 5.8 (227,000 miles). I bought the truck because I wanted a project and I've already done alot of little things to bring her back but I need help with a couple issues.
1.The heater puts out barely any heat. I replaced the blower motor because it was squeeling. I topped off the coolant and replaced the thermostat, but still there is little more than warm air coming out. The heat exchanger looks to be very new with no corrosion.
2. I bought the truck running off the rear tank and when I recently filled the front and switched to it, the truck eventually died. The strange thing is the truck ran for over an hour before dying. If it was a bad pump or dash switch I would think it would have died immediately.
3. I replaced all the door lights (red/clear light on the inside of the door) but instead of them coming on when the doors are open, they remain on whenever the truck is on, all of them!
4. The ignition doesn't require a key ( not punched or messed with but on a whim I tried it without the key) and I'd like to replace it but I'm wondering what "cut" refers to in the replacements I can buy from motorcraft. I've seen 1 cut, 5 cut, 10 cut, etc.
I really appreciate your help guys.

1. checked the t-stat?
2. My 77 F150 had something in the front tank which would rattle slowly down against the pickup, so it would shudder and die on the highway yet be fine around town ... worth checking out?
3. I hate wiring.
4. My 95 F150 was that way. I just called it a blessing in disguise so I can pull the key out when it's running

I'm with him on the heating issues, also check under the dash and make sure your vacuum lines are all connected...
The lights staying on might be a bad headlight switch, I think if the dimmer ring on them melts down the right way the interior lights won't go out.... Or look in the door jamb and find the little switches that control the lights coming on, one of these might be worn out, you can take them out and I think unplug them one by one till the lights go out and that will identify your problem (I think that is how they work, been a while)...
As for the front tank, climb under there and pull the pump out, should come out without dropping the tank... You can look to see if it's clogged up or what...
My truck has the original ignition key broken off into the cylinder, I just left it alone.. This way I never forget my keys, lol...

I've never heard of a blender door, I'll be checking that tomorrow. I'll also be pulling the dash to check under there.
I'll check the door sensors as well, but no biggie if I can't figure out why they are staying on. I'll just pull the bulbs like the guy who I bought it from must have done.
The front tank worries me, but I thinks it should be sediment otherwise why would it have ran for an hour on a fresh tank.
The ignition really is more convenient without a key, but I'll eventually get around to replacing it.
Thanks for all your help!
