MYSON is the company.I was nasty or pissed in the email yet!But I told them in a round about way if I am only to get 5 years out of there radiators at almost $300.00 a piece I would have to search around and find something better.

 

I'd push it. Tell them you are upgrading this summer, and have 10 more to buy. If they want your bussness, they'll work with you...... Even though your not upgrading, a promise of profit always makes them wake up

 

I will keep that one in mind Charlie!I have a friend that told me this morning if I dont get any results out of either place he has a couple old fashion castiron radiators that he would be able to fix me up with one.

 

And Marshall, some of those old cast iron radiators have held up for a hundred years or more.

 

Sure have George and I figure I might even get a little more heat in that room also.

 

Cast iron ones are good, just yest it first, sometimes the gaskets go bad between the fins.

 

Charlie I messed around little with them but dont believe they have gaskets.what seals the layers up is antiseeze.

 

Some of the older ones had a rope gasket between the plates.


Make sure it has a bleeder on it so you get all the air out, or it won't work

 

I did not know that about the rope gaskets I will check it.I will have to put a new bleeder in it and some fittings to hook up the pex water line.
