A T45 torx will fit in the caliper sloppy. This usually results in a twisted bit and busted knuckles. The correct tool is T45 Torx Plus. A standard Torx looks like a 6 point star. The Torx Plus look more like a cog gear. The flutes are flat.
Learned a tip on changing brakes you might find useful. When pushing the caliper piston back in, open the bleeder screw on the caliper first. That way you are not pushing old brake fluid back up into your master cylinder/ABS.
Leave the cap off the master cylinder when compressing the calipers. There's always a chance of sucking air into the system if you open the bleed screw. So what is it? a T45, T45 Plus, or a T47. I've always used the T45 and yes it is sloppy.
