My 1999 F-150

This is a picture from the day I bought it used from a dealer.

Here the same truck now.

Bought it with roughly 130,000 miles on it. Currently has 151,000 miles. Still use it for plowing. Previous owners must have never washed it good though. Fighting a ton of rust. Will have to replace the box eventually and both extended cab doors.

that black sport is identical to the one i just sold to my brother in nov of 2010. i loved it but i couldnt stop the rust from spreading... im buying new fog lights and front facia for my blue one.. luckly its from southern virginia so there is no rust at all... it sucks the way these trucks rust out so quick. ill be doing some major undercoating this summer coming.

Yeah, I love the truck and the plow that came with it was almost new. I have seen a couple of the black Sports running around my area in Western NY.

But, if I was going to do it again I would be a southern truck and the 5.4. I have had a 2002 Screw w/ 4.6 and a 2006 Screw w/ 5.4. I miss the 5.4 but didn't want the payment.

Nice trucks! I'm jealous that it is a 5 speed. Damn I would love to find one that is a 5 speed.

I gotta ask, does the manual 4.6 feel as gutless as the automatic 4.6? For some reason I think the 4.6 has so much power, but it is being lost in the damn torque converter.

4.6L doesn't have the long arm torque it needs. I have a 5.4L and have had to take off in 2nd gear to get going on this wet pavement.

There is my 2000 xcab Lariat. Just picked it up this October so I am still a little low on upgrades to it. Any ideas that would be easy on cabbage?
