Nice lights Gary
Those LED flood lights have been big here for ages, we have 10 and 30 W units on stands like you ended up with, also you can get 5 and 10 w rechargeable portable units.
For hard wired / permanent mounting we also have 10, 30 & 100w units. I just put 2 30w units inside my new shed and 2 outside on another shed and they are damn impressive

I'm sure sold. They make a tremendous difference under the truck as I can raise/lower them as well as tilt/swivel them. And no fire worries. Plus, they don't use much juice. The halogen units wouldn't run off my extension cord with a breaker in it, but the LED's sure will. And they went on with just a thumbscrew. So easy I should have done it years ago.

Yeah the power and light weight of these new LED's is incredible, I'm going to convert all my shed lighting and outdoors sensor flood lights to LED.
I also have been using a "LED Lenser MT7 with gun mount" off the side of my rifle scope, it is stupidly bright and you don't even know it's there. Makes solo spotlighting very easy.

Yep, the majority of our vermin hunting is done at night, so rabbits, foxes, feral pigs and goats etc. the rabbits around my area are pretty savvy, they bolt pretty quickly as soon as you light em up so you have to be quick. The foxes are easy, just whistle them up and they will stand there for ages.
We aren't allowed to have night vision scopes or goggles and auto reloading / repeating rifles and shotguns are banned for the majority ( my property is not big enough to get a special licence and exemption) , noise supressors (silencers) are also banned ( don't dare get caught with a threaded barrel end) so it limits how effective you can be.

Introduced species are pretty much open slather, except for deer strangely, they can only be hunted with a game permit in certain areas and at certain times.
Under the land management act, landowners are legally bound to destroy declared pests and they can use deep ripping of burrows, baits or shooting.
I don't like baits as they also end up affecting our native birds of prey.
